MediaCentre Software - LinuxMCE
I have been searching the web for an alternate to Mediaportal (runs on Windows XP/Vista), and have been tracking LinuxMCE (runs on xbuntu Linux), for the past 8 months and it appears to be gaining some momentum. The videos that are posted on YouTube and Google Video are very impressive but I am always sceptical of such hype. There is nothing better the honest user reviews and experinces.
I have been a Linux user for the past 4 months and have been very impressed. This is another reason for LinuxMCE to spark my interest.
Don't get me wrong MediaPortal is great but I just want to experiment with alternatives. I don't own a copy of Microsoft's MCE and I particular don't want to either.
So Really, what are your experiences with MediaCentre software.
There are quite a few to choose from SageTV, BeyondTV, LinuxMCE, MythTV, MediaPortal, MCE 2005 or Vista.
What was your experience with any MediaCentre software?
